![]() On steam you buy something, you can play it years later. So both the publisher and consumer need to pay monthly for the game. And it can be because the game publisher doesn't pay microsoft enough to keep it on gamepass or some weird reason like that. They have it, and as such, they can remove it a month later and you can't play it at all anymore. You can think 'oh hey I have this and this', but that is a lie, an illusion. The problem is that games will not always be available. They control everything, microsoft, and you have nothing, except your netflix account (microsoft's version).Įdit: If you want to know my opinion, and why:ĭon't use gamepass, don't pay for gamepass, make 'videogaming as a service'/'cloudgaming' nonsense fail. The point is, its kinda like watching a video on youtube, except you control the game of the game its showing, or at least that is what you think. As such, you maybe able to log into steam from gamepass. You're remote controlling a virtual computer space elsewhere.
